Every project begins with its site and the life around it. We study the sea breeze on the Al Khobar coast, the evening light on the Jeddah Corniche and the way visitors move through the streets of Madinah, and let each place set the form of what we build there.

Dr Ayedh Al Qahtani founded the Sumou Group in Al Khobar on the conviction that real estate is one of the foundations of a nation’s prosperity, and that lasting value begins with the land. Under his leadership the group has grown into more than eighty companies across twelve sectors, from development and construction to marketing and property management, with a land portfolio of 64 million square metres. He has guided the revival of established projects and built partnerships with government and semi-government bodies across the Kingdom. Abdulrahman Al Qahtani leads Sumou’s development and investment in the Kingdom and abroad, a portfolio that Forbes Middle East values at more than US$9.5 billion. Under his leadership the group has reached beyond Saudi Arabia to Egypt, Jordan and Bahrain, and brought partners such as Raffles, ARDARA, Paragon and Amman Vision Investment and Development to its destinations. He is Vice Chairman of Sumou Real Estate, listed on the Saudi Exchange, Chairman of Adeer Real Estate and a board member of Riyadh Development Company. In 2026 Forbes Middle East named him among the region’s most impactful real estate leaders.
